About Us

From a foundation built on a deep passion for assisting the marginalized and most vulnerable, the journey of TrueJam Insights began. Our founder, Bruce Jamison,  served an extensive and distinguished 33-year career with the Piqua Police Department, rising through the ranks from Juvenile Detective—where he was an expert witness in child abuse investigations—to Deputy Chief and ultimately Chief of Police. During his tenure, he was at the forefront of community safety, developing an “Intelligence Led - Victim Driven” approach, tackling critical societal problems like homelessness and drug addiction with cross-disciplinary teams, and leading the adoption of the ‘run-hide-fight’ active threat response model. Following this, he spent five years as the Chief of Police establishing a new police department at a local community college, alongside his deep involvement in community organizations, including founding a LGBTQ youth resource non-profit that was a leader in a tri-county area for these youth.

This thirty-eight-year career in public safety—which also involved extensive training for youth-serving, faith-based, and other non-profits—led to a profound realization: the best practices and policy approaches used in law enforcement hold immense value for non-sworn environments. This recognition, coupled with the critical need for specialized policies and training for unarmed responders across various sectors, is the insight that motivated the creation of TrueJam Insights. Our mission is to leverage this unparalleled experience to modernize safety, security, and response strategies for businesses, non-profits, faith-based institutions, and educational spaces, ensuring preparedness and resilience where it matters most.
